It should work fine if you get all the POP3 information right. You're sure
you typed the incoming and outgoing server addresses correctly (no @ signs
or anything like that in them?). How about things like the "server requires
authentication", you got all that right?

That refers to the outgoing mail server.
The OP only mentioned a problem with the incoming mail server.
