Switching default contacts folder

I have two different contacts folders. When sending an email I type the
contact name in the "to" field. However this only searches the default folder
so I then have to click "to" and select the other folder manually. How do I
change this so it automatically searches the folder where the majority of my
contacts are held?

I would put the majority of your contacts into the Contacts folder in your
default message store (Personal Folders or Exchange mailbox). Where are they
stored now? I'm guessing that both folders are selected as address books
since you mentioned that...

Yes, boh folders are selected as address books. The full story is that I use
a program called SYNCING.NET to syncronise outlook folders between computers.
It works really well - the host machine uses the default calendar and contact
folder, the slave machines syncronise into sub-folders. Therefore my main
contacts folder on a slave machine is not the default folder, but it IS the
one I need to access all the time....

Click on the address book icon, choose tools, options and change the
contacts folder that is shown first and also which one is searched first.
