Switchboards in adp file

Hi,
I am using access 2003 to connect to a SQL server 2000. I create a .adp
file. In the adp file the switchboard option is greyed out and I cannot use
it.
Is there a way to make a switchboard work.
If not, can anyone suggest any other options.
Please let me know if you need more info.
All help is greatly appreciated
Thank you

Any command button can open another form or report, so a form with a number
of command buttons works as well. You are better off with a menu form than a
switchboard. While it is possible to emulate what a switchboard does with a
table in the SQL-Server database (switchboards use a local table), it is
really unnecessary. Have a look at the main menu (called a switchboard) in
the Northwind sample database and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Another suggestion: Open your application to a working form instead of a
menu. Most applications have a central purpose and it is more convenient to
get the user to the form that he/she wants to use. Add a button to that form
to navigate to your menu or to the next task.

Hi Arvin
Thanks for the reply. I will try your suggestions. Looks like it will solve
the problem.
