A switchboard. What can't it do? Is the only answer that you cannot create
forms, reports, queries, and tables while using a switchboard?

Bruce,

True.. further down. The first section describes what a Switchboard is,
which IMHO answer his question. I could not tell by his question precisely
what he wanted to know. If that article was/is insufficient then I would
hope he/she would post back with additional questions.

If BruceM were in really fine fettle, he could probably find something even
stronger than "complex solution to a simple problem" written by the same
person about the Switchboard Manager. <CHUCKLE>

Sounds to me as if the OP was confusing a "secured, locked down, perhaps
compiled to MDE" database _that does not give the user access to the
database window_ with limitations imposed by a switchboard.
