Swapping Mouse with Wireless Optical Desktop

Hi all,

I recently purchased the Microsoft Wireless Desktop 4000. Prior to that I
was using a wired keyboard and a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 2.0.

Is possible to use the Intellimouse with the Desktop 4000 receiver. If so,
how do I establish the connection? All my attempts to do so have failed up to
now. I would like to use this mouse instead since it has the internet
navigation buttons missing from the mouse and keyboard of the Desktop 4000.

Somehow I ended up here from the Microsoft Hardware site, but the group you
are suggesting seems more appropriate.
