Installed MS's Wireless Optical Desktop 4000,ScreenSaver not launc

I received a MS Wireless Optical Desktop 4000 set (k'board and mouse) for
Christmas. I installed it and now my screensaver does not launch. I can go
in and configure and even run the preview and all that works fine. I have it
set for 10 minutes, but it never launches. Hours can go by without me
touching my PC. I can initiate the preview and let it sit till I need to use
the PC and that works as a work- around, but I need my screen saver to launch
by itself.

Any ideas?
