Swapped drive letters

A

Aaron

I have two HD in my computer. The first drive has two
partitions. The first (which is supposed to be the C
drive) has WinXP installed and is NFTS. The second on
that drive is FAT32 and only has data. The second HD has
only 1 partition, FAT32, and also only has data.

The problem is that the drive letters have somehow
swapped. Partition 1 on drive 1 is now the E drive,
Partition 2 on drive 1 is now showing as C. Partition 1
on drive 2 is showing as D.

Is there any way (using Recovery Console or some other
tool) for me to get the C drive reassigned to Partition 1
on Drive 1?

My system will not boot with this configuration.

Thanks

Hi Aaron,

Could you please give some background on what you were doing with the system
before this change occured? The system wouldn't sporadically change drive
letter assignments, some action you took had to invoke this change. Whether
or not it is reversible depends greatly on how it happened to begin with.
