swap drives

i have 2 computers ,want to know if I can use one drive in
2 different machines with one installitaion of xp. So far
can not do this as second machine will not boot for me
where the xp install was done on another computer

No! Even on so called "identical" computers there is still enough
differences to prevent this from working.
