Swapping Keyboards

I want to replace two PS/2 desktop keyboards with
two new PS/2 keyboards (Dell RTD00). Its a Dell
computer and maybe about 5 years old. Since I am
replacing a PS/2 with another one can I just swap
them out (plug n' play) or do I need to do something to
the drivers on the computers?
thanks.

With PS/2 - other than powering down the computer before you change
keyboards (some older motherboards would 'fry' when you changes out such
peripherals) - you have nothing else to do unless the new keyboard has
special features you want to use and/or the old one had software it loaded
you need to get rid of since it will no longer apply.

Thanks. If the keyboard is the same or extremely close to it do I need to
delete the software? These keyboards don't come with software so would I have
to download something?
thanks for your help.

Arethese special keyboards? Do they have anything on them other than the
standard keys?

They are normal.

Power down the machine.
Unplug the old keyboard.
Plug in the new keyboard.
Power on the machine.

Do whatever it is you planned on doing with the old keyboard.

Keyboard software is an optional extra distributed free
only with KBs that can use it (e.g. Logitech software to
reassign F keys to special functions, e.g. load mailer app.)
"Vanilla" KBs are Windows-ready and need no extras.
