swagent.exe and swsoc.exe ? ?

hello,

when i was shutting down my laptop, 2 dialog boxes popped up. these were the
file names <swagent.exe and swsoc.exe> that were causing the problem. i
searched windows help for these files, but could not find anything. i
googled the words and got a little info, but i'm still not sure what they do
or why pop-ups appeared with them, when i shut down the laptop.

swagent has something to do with hp printers. i do have an hp printer
attached to my laptop from time to time.
swsoc has something to do with coldfusion, which i have installed, but have
not used.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Are you using macromedia dreamweaver or coldfusion? Found some links on
google with errors on these two files associated with those programs.
Take a look at this:

hi hilary,

yes, i have both installed, but haven't used them yet. i installed them last
week <my laptop is only 2 weeks old>.
today was the first day that i got the error warning messages.

i checked the link you recommended, but i didn't see a solution. it seems
that this is a known problem, hopefully, it will be fixed soon.

Yes from what I could see on those links there really wasn't any
solution except for fixing an access database if that was being used.
