svchost.exe error

i'm having this error message when ever the lan cable is
plugged to the server running win2000.i dont know if the
error has something to do with the local area network.

as soon as this error ocurs the network properties will
stop diplaying.it says unexpected error as occured.

it also times out the ping status of the gateway.sometimes
the system hangs up.
pls what could be the problem.

Check you anti virus is up to date.
