Hi
Since August 11th I have been repeatedly
encountering the following error message:
"Svchost.exe has generated errors and will be closed
by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An
error log is being created".
Please note that this error message only occurs when I
am connected to the Internet.
When the error occures, there is a system error log
(ID 7031) and an application error log (ID 4097) being
created.
The System error ID 7031 is a Remote Procedure Call (
RPC) error and ist stored under: Computer Management
(local)/System Tools/Event Viewer/System
The Application error ID 4097 is stored under Computer
Management (local)/System Tools/Eenvent
Viewer/Application and reads as follows:
"The COM+ Event System detected a bad return code
during its internal processing. HRESULT was
800706BA from line 42 of .\eventsystemobj.cpp. Please
contact Microsoft Product Support Services to report
this error."
On the Microsoft support page I was not able to find
a fix for this error message. Please advice how I can
remove this error.
