suspend and hibernate stopped working

Hi,

My ThinkPad T41 stopped accepting suspend and hibernate requests. Control
Panel - Power options shows no Hibernate tab.

How can I find out which driver is preventing the system from supporting
power management?

Thanks,
Valery

There are times (you'd be surprised) that your screensaver apps are disabling
this power option feature, you might want to check on that. Also, check into
your CMOS settings and see if there's an option there that enables
hibernate/suspend settings.

GLuck!

disabling screen saver does not help.
in CMOS setup all power management settings are enabled.
Looks like some low-level driver is messing with power management. How do I
isolate it?

this is for older APM machines. ThinkPad is ACPI compliant.

I have finally found the troublesome driver by manually disabling each and
every non-plug-n-play driver in device manager - very time consuming process.
