I too am having the same problem as Colin E posted
yesterday(copied below). Surely someone must know how to
overcome this problem as I have heard of it before but
don't personally know how to fix it. I have all my
business contacts and Emails on a CD which I can no
longer access and urgently need to.

So Please if you have any idea at all it I will give it a
go.

Many Thanks in Advance.

George

Can anyone help?
I have backed up my outlook folders before a format of
the c drive ( using import/export).Now when i try to
import them back into outlook (XP) it tells me "errors
have been detected in the file. I have tried scanpst.exe
which only finds and repairs 2 files but i still cannot
open it to retrieve my personal folders.

Please help. Very angry wife to keep happy!!!!!

If you have your .pst file on a CD, it is read only as CDs are read only.

You need to copy the file back to the hard drive, right click on the file
and select Properties, then uncheck the Read-Only option.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to the Swen
virus, all e-mails sent to my actual account will be deleted
w/out reading.
