Suppress Event Viewer Tray Icon?

Is there a way to suppress the Event Viewer Tray Icon (yellow triangle)
so it doesn't show up in the right hand tray every time there is an
error? I just upgraded to SP3, and I don't think the icon showed before
this.

You can always hide it by right-clicking on the task bar, properties,
Click on the button called Customize next to "Hide Inactive Icons".
Find the icon that is upsetting you and then set it to ALWAYS HIDE.

What is the Event Viewer Tray Icon?

Warning messages in the Event Viewer logs show up with yellow
triangles - is that what you are seeing?

If you are seeing a yellow triangle or a red shield in the
Notification Area to the left of the System Time, you should hover
your mouse over it and see what the problem is, or right click it and
see what the Properties tell you about it and fix the problem.

It does not make sense (to me) to suppress an error reporting
mechanism so you can't see it.
