Sudden computer restart

Latley my computer will restart randomly. I can let it
run all night and nothing happens but when I try and do
anything cpu intensive the computer randomly shuts down,
usually after about 5 or 10 mins. When I go to turn it
back on it will start to boot up for like a second and
then shut back down.

I have to unplug it and wait about two to three minuets
before it will start back up successfully. I added a new
hard drive a little while ago and thought maybe it was
draining to much power so I swapped my 300 watt power
supply with a 320 watt i had and it still shuts down
randomly. Computer is virus free. Tried swapping the
memory with some other memory I had around and it didnt
solve the problem.

I checked the system log and found the following error
message which I am pretty sure coorelates to the random
shut down's

"Tuesday, June 22, 2004 Service Control Manager The
Software Cinemaster NT4.0 Driver service failed to start
due to the following error: The system cannot find the
file specified.

Tuesday, June 22, 2004 Service Control Manager The Human
Interface Device Access service terminated with the
following error: The specified module could not be found."

CPU is an Athlon 2400
512 ddr ram
two HD's one a WD one an IBM
320 watt power supply
asus p7V??? motherboard
sony dvd rom/rw
creative cdrom/rw

any help would be appreciated

thanks

Bad (or inadequate) P.S. is one of the common causes of shutting
down on heavy use.

Not enough cooling is another. Make sure all of your fans are
turning, clean any filters and heatsinks, make sure nothing is
blocking airflow (IDE cables are a frequent culprit).
