subwebs authentication problem

Publishing subwebs require authentication even though permissions are not
unique.

After publishing the main web it tries to publish the sub webs but stops at
the authenticate window. The subwebs have the same permission as the main
web. I've tried entering my ID and PW again to no avail. The window pops
back up every time I submit the ID

and PW. I converted the subweb to a folder and renamed it starting with a
CAP LETTER and subweb published ok, i.e., www.domainname.com/test to
www.domainname.com/Test. However, all links to the newly named subweb are
broken. Hoping for something soon on this one.

Check w/ your host - they may be blocking subwebs

If your site has the FP 2002 SE, try opening the root web (online) and selecting Tools Server Administration and try to create your
subweb there before you try to publish to it
