How to handle the subweb?

If I create a subweb under the main web, do I need to publish them
seperately? Each time when I publish the main web, is the subweb also
refreshed automatically? Or I still need to publish the subweb?

Only if you choose to include it, otherwise it is not include. Subwebs can be publish independently.

I cannot find the selection of "include". Does that mean the subweb is not
published when I publish the root web?

And, how to include the subweb when I publish the root web? Thanks.

In the Publishing dialog, you will have the option to include the subweb/subsite when publishing the
root web, this will not be available if you have the subweb/site open and trying to publish.

Thanks for your answer. Go back to my question. Is it true that the subweb
will NOT be published if the subweb is open when the root web is published?

I never tried publishing in that manner.
