I am creating a website and for my feedback page, and when i try to add a link for the message to be sent to me it says the following

"This form is being created on a Disk-Based Web or the FrontPage Server Extensions have not been configured to send e-mail. Please direct your system admin. ot ISP to the instructions in "Setting Up E-Mail Options on Windoes" or "Setting up email options on UNIX" in the Server Extension Resource Kit. If you don't have the SER Kit, you can dind it at microsoft.com/frontpage/wpp/serk (That site does not work for me

I am using Win XP, and am using FrontPage 2002. What can I do to change that. i am not sure of what some of these terms are.

Several things:

1. the message is informing you that in order to test the
form, the form must be hosted on a server (ie, you cannot
test it on your PC unless you configure your PC with
server software),
2. server software is not available for Windows XP Home
Edition. It comes as a part of Windows XP Professional
Edition.
3. if you set up your site on a host, remeber that the
host must be provide you with the Front Page Extensions
(and configure those as per the instructions you listed).
You must also publish your site to the host using
the "http" method as using FTP will "break" the
extensions and you forms will not work.
