Subforms in Design View

I've got a form w/ lots of small subforms on it. In
Access 97, these forms were white & double-clicking it
would open the subform in a separate window. In 2000
these subforms are visible in design on top of the parent
form. My problem is because of the quantity of subforms
on my main form, I have the subforms shrunk down small,
and I re-size the forms when they are activated. However,
as it stands I cannot get into these forms from design
view since I'm already 'there'. Any suggestions? Any
way of changing how 2000 displays subforms back to 97
style? Please reply directly as I do not follow this
newsgroup.
