there is one domain controller company.com with a dns installed named
server1..im adding a subdomain technical.company.com on a server2 machine
....i noticed that a new subdomain have been added in the dns zone on the
first
server....so im just looking for a way to delegate the technical.company.com
zone to the server2 machine...i read everything i found in microsoft but its
in theoretical view and doesnt help me...
i start using the delegation wizard but it couldnt finish the proceduse and
i could not browse the server2 ...
then i tried to install DNS service to the server2 but the subdomain is
still remains on the server1...
im a little confused because reading the microsoft documentetion it was
looking something simple.
can anybody help me on this ?
thanks

i keep trying for some other ways but the strange is when im using delegation
wizard im getting this mesage " a dns domain or delegation by this name
already exist. to change an existing delegation delete the domain and then
creat the delegation" ...this makes me more confused...after i tried to add
in the primary zoze
:company.com" a new NS record for the child domain pointing the second
server...i used the dnscmd as microsoft says but none of a record appears
into my dns manager.

That's because you must delete the child entry first. Install DNS on another
machine that will host the child.domain.com zone. Then in DNS server that is
hosting the domain.com zone, rt-click, new delegation, type in the child
name "child" (in my example of child.domain.com), then provide the name of
the DNS server that will hosting the zone, such as ns.child.domain.com, and
provide it's IP address. Then in the child DNS configure a forwarder
pointing back to the DNS server hosting the parent domain.com zone. The
clients at the child domain will ONLY use the DNS server hosting the child
zone.

thank you , u were very helpfull...
i would like to ask u something more...in the article u post me it says
again about that delegation records (NS and glue) that must be added on the
root DNS...is this realy a must and how can i do that?

and second, reading that article seems delegation is first step and then
child zone and domain cteation follow...so how somebody browse this child DNS
into the first step if it does not configured?
thanks again

In the child's DNS server hosting the child zone, create a host record in
the child zone for the DNS server(s) in the child zone, such as "ns1" under
the child.domain.com zone. (Note: ns1 is just an example host record. You
can call it anything you want.) Yes, this is a must.

You can create the child zone first and the appropriate records. Once
completed, create the delegation.
