Sub Web creation

Hi,
My host is vianet.works USA, URL
http://prekshana23543.via-usa.hosting.com/

A. sub web "dailyup2" has already been created of the folder added in
the root web.
However when I try to publish from my desk top to the subweb log on
screen appers and it does not accept the my username and password
after the step taken by the host to set right the permissions to
enable creation of sub web.
B. I also tried to create another folder in the root web in order to
convert it into sub web "monupd" it do converts to sub web but when I
publish to it from deak top, it gives a message that it can not find a
web server at the URL
http://prekshana23543.via-usa.hosting.com/monupd.

I think your problem lies with the host. I used to get all kinds of stuff
like that on UNIX machines. here's the work around I found:

open your live web (http://whateve) in FrontPage file/ open web/ type in the
url
when your live web opens, click the little drop down next to the new page
button and make a new folder. name it what you want. then in folders view
right click/ convert to subweb.
do this same operation on your desktop and you should be OK.
