sub folder pics will not open

please help me!!!

I can no longer veiw pics from a sub folder( just one folder) in my doucmunts

things I have tried...

1.restoring
2.scanning
3.running REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL
4.changing the files from jpgs to all others
5.moving the file to a diffrent folder
6.putting files that work into the sub folder to see if they will open (they
do)
7.tried opening with all the photo programs I have
8.restored default settings

I am sure there is more but thats all i can think of right now

things I know

1.when checking properties **of the photos that will not open* the info in
general is there. summery says "summary properties are unavailable for
selected source"
2.the folder is still using disk space.
3.the pics that dont open are just in this one sub folder.
4.right click open with gives me no error just a blank screen in whatever
photo program I am trying.

thank you for your time, hopefully someone can help me I don't have these
photos backed up anywhere

I read your previous post on this.
Obviously you tried a variety of possible options and it is hard to tell
someone that this may be over, but your finding that "summary properties are
unavailable" indicated to me that the files are corrupted.
Plenty of discussion on the webb about corrupted jpg files but I have never
seen a solution.
