Style

I noticed that sometime when I click on style, I see "update to match
selection" highlighted and some time grayedout. I can not find reason.

Thanks for the help in advance.
 
This is enabled only if the formatting of your selected text has been
modified to be different from the style. And in general this command is not
available unless you have "Keep track of formatting" enabled on the Edit tab
of Tools | Options.
