Hi there,
I've just bought a new notebook with Vista installed...
each time I launch a program, Messenger for ex., Vista asks me if I
really want to launch that program (naturally YEAS! otherwise I wouldn't
click on it!!!)... it's really boring and useless!!!
Please, how can I turn off this stupid warning msg and let the progs
start promptly??
Thanks.
Bye

Hi!
I've followed the hints from the link and yesterday I could launch
Messenger without warning msg, but today it doesn't start at all!!! The
program terminates even without error msg!!!
Yep, if you want it off you must disable UAC. Here's the link on this
forum for details on how:

'_http://www.vista64.net/forums/tricks-n-tips/48893-disable-user-account-control-uac.html_'

I can't find the Unblock button as described below!!! I've got an
Italian version of Vista and there's no such button...
Might also check to see if the program is UNBLOCKED. When you download
anything Vista automatically sets it as blocked & you have to give it
permission to run it also. Here's how to check:

1. right click program
2. click on PROPERTIES
3. under GENERAL tab click on the UNBLOCK button at bottom right
4. click OK to apply

Some more help??
Thanks.
