stuck on 'save settings' mode

hello

when I turn off my computer (windows XP), 99% of the time
it gets stuck on 'saving settings'. So every time I need
to unplug the computer from electricity in order to trun
it off...really annoying...what to do?

Insuficient information. What is your hard drive size? Any information
in 'Event Viewer'?
