Stuck message.

M

mac

A fix for the stuck messages has been made available for that program.

Messages may be stuck in the Outbox when you use Windows Mail on a computer
that is running Windows Vista.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941090

The fix is supposed to remove stuck messages from *any* folder within WM,
not just the Outbox, (as the title would suggest it does).

If you find that it does not do that, then please report the fact here so
that someone can pass that info on to the relevant people at M$.

The Tile does not suggest that all. It specifically states Outbox

It does not tell you on a can of beans, that they will make you trump, but
they do :)

It has been reported to have worked for the Inbox, too. I suspect that it
works for all folders.

I downloaded the update, rebooted the machine and I still cannot send or
delete the message in the outbox.

When I click "Send/Receive" I still get an error message that my message
could not be sent because my authentication setting for my SMTP outgoing
server may be incorrect.

BTW - I can receive emails with no problem.

I've also checked and verified all my incoming and outgoing settings and
they are correct.

Any suggestions?

Never mind - I got it fixed.

I neglected to check off the box that said my outgoing server required
authentication. It appears to be working now.

Thank you very much for everybody's help.

Glad you got it fixed. A close reading of the error message
often reveals the problem, which is why I always insist on
seeing it.
