Can anyone help me? I have a message stuck in my Windows Mail Oubox and
cannot delete or move that message. Consequently, I can not send any emails
and I don't know how to fix it. I get an error message when I try to delete
it from my Outbox. Help!!!

Strath, I did go to the site, but I do not know where the instructions are.
I am new to this community and I am brand new to Windows Vista. I really
need help.

Cal Bear, You are my hero!! Thanks to you it is fixed. I downloaded the
WMUtil, followed instructions, clicked on Clear Outbox, and it is fixed. I
am assuming from reading everyone's messages, that this may happen again.
Thank you again.

You're welcome, and thank you for the compliment (although my hero costume is at
the cleaners now).

It hasn't happened to me (knock wood, cross fingers, say a prayer) since
installing Vista on it's January release.

But why Microsoft hadn't solve the problem yet ?? Outlook Express never had this kind of problem... I
must had the message stuck at leat 6-7 times in 4 months... This is ridiculous !

Microsoft are unable to force people to use Vista compatible software
(I'm sure they'd love to but the courts won't allow it) and I don't think it
reasonable for Microsoft to write their software to cope with
3rd party junk.

As long as people insist on using the crapware that PC vendors have been
paid to include on their machines they will be vulnerable.
Outlook Express never had this kind of problem...

OE hasn't had to cope with so much incompatible software
being installed on it's host OS.

Are you using Norton or McAfee antivirus suites?

If so, and you're not willing to get rid of them you will have
live with the possibility of random corruptions of email processing.

What Julian said.

In addition, Microsoft has provided an alternative by making
Windows Live Mail (WLM) available. WLM seems to be a bit
more resistant to the onslaught of overly aggressive antivirus
programs.

In Windows Mail click on Tools/Options/Advanced/Maintenance/Store Folder.
Note location of message store. Close Windows Mail. Open Windows Explorer.
in top line type in the details of your message store (above). Locate your
outbox (in Local Folders). Find message and delete. This worked for me.
