how do you reset cmos with computer off?

otherwise it's given up the ghost.

I am sure this problem has been solved by now, but I thought I would correct the bad advice.

Solution: Boot to XP install (or any live CD that can read and write NTFS files like DSL Live). Hit "R" for repair. Once at the command prompt delete Hiberfil.sys (del c:\Hiberfil.sys). Then just restart (type exit). Sometimes hiberfil.sys gets messed up if RAM that is not seated properly. If that doesn't fix it let me know. John Maxwell
