Stuck in a loop

Tonight I pulled my video card and reseated it. Now when I boot up I get the
screen with "safe mode, command prompt, your most recent settings that
worked, etc". It does not matter which option I choose, the computer will
just restart and take me back to the exact same menu of options. I have tried
all the options and I keep coming back to the same place - I am stuck in a
loop. Can anyone tell me how to get past this loop and to my desktop? All
help appreciated.

Ross:
hmmmm. not good. Is your video card an AGP video card or a PCI video card?
If it's PCI, I'd suggest moving the card to a different PCI slot. this
should force windows to treat it as if it is a completely different card that
it has no prior knowledge of. If it's AGP, then things get trickier. Let me
know what you get.

Hi Ross,

Suggestions:

Check to be sure it is seated properly. If so, try another slot. If both
have been tried, while in Safe Mode go to Start/Run/Msconfig/Boot.ini and
select BaseVideo. Reboot. Once in normal mode, see how it goes and of
course if need be, reinstall the drivers. If all is well, change the
setting you made in msconfig.

Good luck and keep us posted!
