How can I get rid of this thing? I can't get it off my desktop. It
came when I tried to open a picture file in an email.... and the YES
or NO buttons DO NOTHING...

The message: MICROSOFT WORD 97 CONVERSION-
Unable to load graphics conversion filter. Continue with document
conversion? YES NO

I tried clicking NO.... but the thing is just stuck there right in the
middle of my desk top... for one whole week now!!!

Who knows the great secret word to make it disappear??

Try this:
- Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc
- Select the "Processes" tab
- See if you can identify the culprit, starting at the bottom, select it,
then click "End Process"

Thank you, Pegasus, for the suggestion... I tried but was
unsuccessful.
I selected what seemed the most likely culprit in the list, and tried
to end the process.. but it wouldn't let me... said I didn't have the
authority.. but I am logged on to the server with administrator
password...

So the screen/message remains on my desktop.

Any more suggestions??

Perhaps that message is now part of you desktop wallpaper. Have
you tried a different wallpaper?
