Strange XP Pro SP2 Upgrade Experience

I updated my XP Home SP2 to XP Pro SP2 today using the full retail Upgrade
package. The upgrade didn't go well, so I ended up formatting and
installing a fresh copy.
Strangely, it never asked me for the original installation CD. I can't
imagine why it didn't, other than it could see stored files on another
partition from the old installation, but I doubt that has anything to do
with it.
Registered/activated without a hitch.
Several reboots later, still not asking for the original CD.
Should I worry???

If you booted to xp cd (pro),selected,install xp,new copy,deleted the
partition (home),created one,then xp formatted and installed,it wont ask
for previous OS cd to verify for the "upgrade",it read the old OS files to
verify
to..

Well I commend you on your patience trying to understad one of Andrew E's
posts. LOL
If Windows setup found necessary files on the system, then it will not ask
for a qualifier.
