Strange Taskbar Behaviour

E

Edward Hopkins

I have a strange problem with my taskbar that I am unable to resolve.
Whenever I have multiple applications open and I click on a button in the
taskbar, it just flashes until I click it again, it will then restore. This
happens on every taskbar item. My thinking was that because I'm using dual
monitors that this may be causing the problem, so I disconnected one of them
but I still have the same problem. At this point I'm not even sure what is
causing the issue. I should also point out that I can ALT-Tab between
applications just fine, but I can't when clicking on the application in the
task bar.

Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated as this is driving me
crazy!

I would also disable or remove any additional toolbar that you may have
installed or created. I had a bad 'Google Deskbar" on my system which
cause my toolbar problems.

I don't think you meant to reply to me. I'm not experiencing the problem.

Rock,

Thanks for the tip. I tried the script you suggested but it only made
matters worse. In the end I rebooted the system and chose the last known
good configuration and that appears to have resolved the problem. However,
I'm sure the issue is still lurking out there and I won't be surprised if it
happens again.

Thanks again!

Ok, sorry that didn't help, and glad you have some sort of resolution (for
the moment at least). I wasn't sure if that tweak would help or not.
