Strange sites that set as default homepage

Hi,
Recently my IE 6 has been plagued with a certain website http://in.webcounter.cc/--/?ydtfs about blank and even the Search function appears as http://www.fastsearch.cc. I have tried to delete and restrict the sites but each time i restart my computer, whatever settings that i had set before (eg: homepage or default page as http://www.yahoo.com) would be gone and replaced by the fastsearch website. Even after i uninstalled and re-installed IE, the problem will appear after a couple of days. How do i change or set my registry to default windows settings. This appears to be a browser hijack, how can i prevent and rectify this problem? Pls help and email me! Thank
I am using windows 98 SE and Microsoft Internet Explorer 6..

you probably got a trojan.
go to www.cexx.org, and look for spyware removal tools.
Spybox worked fine for me.
