Strange Setting effecting the visual display of windows

For some stange reason, my screen has moved the windows to the left leaving a
small colum (about 2 inches wide and the length of the monitor) is now a dead
zone. It does have two horizonal lines at the bottom. Every time I open
Internet Explorer, I get a report message telling me it must shut down and do
I want to notify MS, which of course, I say yes about 30 times already.
Anyone know whats up with this and how to correct it?

Use the controls on your monitor to center the picture.

IF you are using a video resolution that is supported by your monitor:

Same problem when you boot into safe mode? If not, reinstall your video
driver (or upgrade to the latest driver.)

If you get the same problem in Safe Mode, one or more of these is damaged:
the monitor, the video cable, the video card.

Detach and re-attach the video cable (both ends). While you're doing this
check the cable for damage, particular in the pins at either end. If the
cable is not damaged and the problem is now solved, your cable came loose at
one or both ends.

Otherwise, try with a different monitor. If the problem is solved your
original monitor needs replacing.

If none of the above helps, you may have to replace your video card,
although what you are seeing is not typically caused by a faulty video card.
