My WinXP Pro/SP2 system froze the other day. I restarted in Safe mode, did a
shutdown and then restarted in normal mode. After the restart, the display
was set at 800 x 600 so I used the control panel to put it back to 1280 x
1024 but now, when I scroll a window or move a window I get a series of
refreshes - for example, if I have expanded a thread in this NG and then
click the minus sign to contract it, the screen refreshes for each line as
it is removved (sorry - this is hard to describe).
This did not happen before the problem? Any suggestions on hw to correct ths
will be appreciated. I did run full maleware scans - nothing found.
