Strange Outlook message

D

Doreen

One user gets the following error when sending a message IN Outlook:

"A program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have stored in Outlook.
Do you want to allow this? If this is unexpected, it may be a virus and you
should choose "No"."

She doesn't have any other programs open. She is using a stationery, which
I haven't been able to test to see if that's the problem. But in the
meantime, does anyone have any ideas as to why this may be happening and how
to stop it?

Thanks!

Doreen

Have you run an up-to-date virus scan?

Outlook is set up to notify you when a program (seen, or in the background)
is trying to access e-mail names. One of the more popular ways to allow a
virus to multiply....it takes the names from your contacts list and emails
itself to all of them.
