Strange messages . . .

Sorry , this might be a duplicate message.

Whenever I restart my computer, I get a dialogue box that says

Windows File Protection
Please wait while Windows verifies that all
protected Windows files are intact and in their
original versions.

It then goes on to ask me to insert my Windows XP
cd, which the first couple of times I did. I thought it
would be only a one time deal, but again, it does it every
time I reboot my computer.

What's the scoop?

Sounds like its a damaged dllcache folder. With the machine running and
your CD in the drive, type the following at a run line and let it complete:

sfc /purgecache

That didn't work. But, I don't reboot my computer to often and all I have to
do is hit cancel when it comes up to stop it. I'll just leave it as is for
now.
