I am not sure if this is the right area to post this question, but this is my
last hope. My computer was put together by CompUSA as a custom computer.
Just last week, when I started up my computer, I noticed that only at the
screens with the BIOS logo and other startup information and at the Microsoft
Windows XP loading screen, there are evenly placed white lines, almost making
it look like a little prison, running down the screen. After the XP loading
bar, it just goes black, except for the white lines. When I reset the
computer to try again, the same thing happens.
The weird thing about this problem is, it will go into safe mode just fine,
no visual errors or anything like that. I have done a full wipe of the hard
drive and re-install of XP, and the same problem still occurs. Does anyone
have any idea of what this is, or how to fix it? I'm totally out of ideas!
Thanks to everyone who took the tie to read this! If you need more
information or anything, feel free to e-mail me at (e-mail address removed).
Thanks!
