Strange error from Win Explorer + right-click + Search

If I invoke the Windows Explorer context menu (right click) on a folder and
select Search from the menu, I get the error "There was a problem sending
the command to the program." And of course I can't run a search. I'm not
sure what's gone wrong. Any suggestions?

Problem solved! It turns out that ZoneAlarm was partially blocking Windows
Explorer for some reason.
