strange dots

these light green dots keep appearing in diagonal lines
on my desktop. and a few scattered on my toolbar..i cant
get them to go away

Check
The LCD screen. Newer, thin flatscreens can have this problem. Your warrenty
should cover it.
also the graphics card / port. Check your video drivers or there may be a
cable connection problem.
