I have not added or deleted any software during the past 2-3 days but I
noticed the following behavior on my desktop only (but not in other folders).
When I right click, add, new object (e.g., a new text file or a new folder),
I do not immidiately see the new object. I have to refresh the desktop in
order to see it. Similarly, if I delete an object from the desktop , it wont
show its absence until I refresh.
This is very annoying. I sometimes end up creating multiple objects (e.g.,
multiple folders) on the desktop because I do not realize that one has
already been created). Similarly, since deletions do not show, I try to
delete again, only to get a loud error response.
How did this may have happened? How to restore the original behavior?
