Strange Access errors

I an running Office XP on Windows 2000 Pro. All service
packs and updates are installed on each.

I have an Access database that works fine on all computers
but one. This computer's hard drive failed recently and
was replaced. Windows 2000 Pro and Office XP have been
installed on the new hard drive and all patches have been
applied (by a third party).

When someone opens the main form in the Access database,
it works fine until another form (seemingly any other
form) is opened, it still works fine until the new form is
closed. Then, trying to move to a different record in the
main form sets off a series of errors. The first is an
error stating 'This expression is typed incorrectly, or it
is too complex to be evaluated ...' Then there are a few
(the number seems to vary from one to 7 or 8) errors all
stating 'Object invalid or no longer set'. These errors
are repeated every time I try to move to a different
record until I close and re-open the main form. Then it
works fine again until another form is opened and closed.

I have tried doing a repair of of Office with no success.
I have also tried making Access unavailable on that
computer and then re-enabling it - no success.

I have also tried removing all VB coding from the main
form, also no success.

I haven't been able to find any Access settings that are
different than on the other computers in the office.

The only next step I can think of would be to un-install
and re-install Office XP. Do you think it would help and
would I need to re-activate the software? Would there be
problems getting it re-activated a second time?

Any help and advice I receive will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Try checking the references on a machine where the database works fine and
then compare to the machine where the database fails.

Thanks for your response!

It appears all checked references in VB are identical.

I haven't had a chance to compare the file versions, but
the listings in the References dialog box are exactly the
same on the working computers and non-working computer.

I just double checked the file versions of the library
files referenced in VB. All appear to be identical on
working and non-working machine.

Besides corruption of some sort the only other thing I can think of is are
the options (Tools menu in Access) set up the same on both machines. I
would also try recreating the form on the machine that is giving you the
trouble. And no uninstalling and reinstalling a licensed version on the
same machine isn't a problem; I had to do it when I bought a new machine.
Just make sure you use the same name, etc... when registering.

Let's see if any of the above works...
