storeing emails?

My email box is packed with thousands of sent and recieved emails. I think it
is beginning to effect it's functionallity. I depend on it as a documenter of
transactions. I would like to archive it yet keep it accessible. Any ideas?

Create a new PST (File>New>Outlook Data File) and move to it the messages
you don't need to reference all the time. COmpact the original PST.
