Stored Data in Outlook

A client of mine has been using outlook to store phone
numbers, addresses, and calender items. REcently, the
program became unusuable. What file or files store the
phone numbers, addresses, etc? We want to either back up
the information and re-install outlook, or export the data
to another program, such as netscape. Can this data be
read in any other program? or will it be encrypted?

The data will be in a PST file (maybe called Outlook.pst you can look
for *.PST in Windows Explorer).

By default the data is encrypted and cannot be read in other
applications.
