Stops Responding on all application

Whether I am working in Word or on the Net the program will just stop responding
I send error report and it has something about window crashes

What do I need to do
recently i asked someone to add access and publisher97, but they also added Mircosoft office 97 to my Windows XP Home Edition. Now i can not remove Microsoft office 97 because i don't have a disc
 
A couple of options I have 4 U

You could go to "Start" "Programs" then "Compatibility Mode" and try running office 97 in Win '95 or '98 mode

Or go to "Accessories", "System Tools" then "System Restore" and try a restore point prior to the install of your boot-legged software
