Stopping IE starting at log on

1 ) Can anybody tell me how to switch off the loading of internet explorer at log on also some users get my documents in an explorer screen at start up
2) Also a search assistant comes on at start up on the task bar I think its a program a user has dowloaded but I am not sure I uncheck it to remove but comes back every time one logs on

For #1 look in either of these two places for a reference to IE:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
C:\Documents and Settings\(user name)\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

and check the startup tab in Msconfig: Start | Run | Msconfig
