Stopped working

Hi all,

I haven't used Windows mail (only used to read news groups) in some time,
when I went to use it this morning I received this error message;

Folder could not be opened
Windows mail could not open this folder

Possible causes are:
Low disk space
Low memory

The possible causes are not the problem. I have 2 gig memory and it was
working fine when I only had 1 gig of memory. Disk space, I have over 90 gig
of free space.

I was wondering if an update may have caused this problem?

Right now I'm using windows Live Mail and I DO NOT like it a little bit.

Which antivirus are you running? Some of them cause problems with
Windows Mail over time.

Email scanning in any antivirus must be disabled, for
reasons explained here:
http://thundercloud.net/infoave/tutorials/email-scanning/index.htm

If turning off the email scanning function does not resolve your problem,
do a trial uninstall of your antivirus. If no improvement, you can
always reinstall it. Instead of uninstalling your antivirus, consider
upgrading to Windows Live Mail, because it is less prone to
suffering bad effects from overly aggressive antivirus programs.

That did the trick Gary,

I use AVG Free antivirus and I do have email scanning disabled. But I forgot
about installing the new version of SystemSuite 10 Professional witch had
email scanning enabled. Disabling this fixed the problem. Again thanks

Gary,

While waiting for a reply to my message my monitor decided to go south, I
was using Windows Live Mail for reading news groups and did not like it on
the old monitor. Now that I have my new LG Flatron W2061TQ 20" wide screen
it gives enough real estate to display everything without scrolling, I hate
to scroll.

Yep, scrolling is the pits.
