Stop Outlook sending post until online

How do I stop Outlook trying to send replys or new emails until I am next
online. It leaves it in the outbox with a 'non-closed' envelope icon and then
wont even send it , even when you click on the email and press send. The only
way to then send it appears to be to 'forward' it to the same person.
I have wireless connection in the office for my laptop and a phone dial up
when at home

You can set Outlook to offline by using the File menu > Work Offline command

You could be right I'm not sure it is trying to send it, because it still
does it if I've set outlook to work offline.......but it is not sending the
email from the outbox even when next dialed up and it shows what looks like a
letter overlapping an open letter in the icon box next to the
mail........then wont send even when you click on the email and press send
again??????

Are you sure it's trying to send it when offline? If so, change the send
receive settings or set outlook to work offline.

Are you viewing the outbox?

that icon is opened mail (read mail). If you don't look in the outbox, does
it send?
