Stop IE from automatically maximizing windows?

I don't think this can be solved, but just in case. . .i have a slow dial-up
connection. So how I surf is click on a lot of links, then read them one by
one in the order i clicked on them. Problem is IE wants to maximize each
window as it receives info.
So I pretty much have to go do something else until all the windows are
loaded, because whatever I am reading is constantly imterrupted by new
opening windows.
Does anyone know how to control this? What I would like is for everything to
pop behind so it doesn't bother me.

Hi,
I think that the only workaround is to minimize (to the taskbar) the window
you don't want to
see. Or PowerMenu (freeware) from
http://www.veridicus.com/tummy/programming/powermenu/ adds an "always on
top" right-click option, but you'll have to undo it to get back to normal
browsing. There are other similar programs available- some of them free.

Hope this helps,
